About Edgar's Media
Edgar's Media is an independent arts and culture publication based in Minneapolis, MN. Our editorial identity is simple: Think critically. We publish constructive criticism and long-form features rooted in the conviction that the work is here — that the Midwest deserves the same rigor and seriousness given to New York or Berlin. We believe culture isn't a luxury; it's infrastructure.
About the Role
Editorial Board Members are advisors who help shape what Edgar's covers and how. The Board guides coverage priorities, upholds editorial standards, and protects the publication's independence as it grows from launch through its first years. Seeking 3-5 members to meet monthly.

Who We're Looking For
10+ years of professional experience.
Deep knowledge of arts & culture — as a writer, editor, curator, artist, organizer, scholar, or longtime participant.
Commitment to constructive, rigorous criticism over promotional coverage.
Strong editorial judgment and comfort giving direct, generous feedback.
Connection to communities or disciplines that broaden our coverage.
Prior editorial, publishing, or media experience is welcome but not required.
Conflict of Interest
To protect editorial independence, board members may not profit from or hold governance roles with organizations Edgar's regularly covers, and must disclose relationships that could affect their judgment on specific coverage decisions.
